The 2009 Chevy Avalanche is powered by the Vortec V8 engine. The Vortec V8 engines feature an Active Fuel Management technology to deliver power when you need and bring you efficiency when you don't need the power. The efficiency is achieved by deactivating four of the eight cylinders when extra power is not needed.
The chevy avalanche is built with 6 speed automatic transmission. It is a very comfortable truck to drive, with decent fuel economy in town and on the highway. Passenger and Driver airbags are available on all trims. Chevrolet also puts anti-theft system on this car. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) are used all wheels.
Cargo Box and Cargo Cover
You can lock up your tools in the cargo box and they will stay dry in all kinds of weather. Chevy Avalanche has a three-piece cargo cover that can be individually removed and easily stored on board.
Lockable top-box storage
There is a lockable storage sompartments on the sides of the cargo box. You can store small camping gear or emergency equipments safely in this box.
Rear View Camera Display
This equipment is offered for a more convenient driving experience with the 2009 Chevrolet Avalanche. It allows the driver to use the navigation screen to see certain obstacles behind the vehicle. Together with the ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist, it notifies the driver of stationary obstacles up to 2.5 meters behind the vehicle while moving in reverse.

In terms of performance its good, 10-way adjustable power seats. Directions and Connections plan is free of cost for one year.
